The Last Forest

Kid Media ProductionFebruary 5, 2016Uncategorized

We made this short film to show the world what's happening in Prey Lang forest, Stung treng Province in Northern Cambodia.

With a passion for telling people about the story of Cambodia’s largest lowland swamp forest, a group of young film makers produced a short film called “The Last Forest, The Adventure to Prey Lang” which was launched on the evening of Monday, February 1, 2016 at Day Light Plaza of AEON mall in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

More than a hundred participants came specifically for the release of the short film and enjoyed the dances and songs performed by young Cambodian artists. The main actor, Mr. Flew Melody, also shared his experiences on how the journey to Prey Lang changed the way he feels about the forest and why it is important to protect this valuable landscape. Before the end of the show, there were quizzes to test participants’ understanding of Prey Lang’s biodiversity and geography, surprisingly, all the questions were answered correctly.

The film was made possible by the young professionals from Kid Media Production with the supporting of USAID Supporting Forests and Biodiversity project, implemented by Winrock International. We also would like to express sincere thanks to AEON mall for providing the space for this conservation awareness raising.
