The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has a River Basin Game, and you can play it here. Only a fairly limited set of variables and trade offs, but very smart all the same. Together with colleagues on MK8, we’re trying to develop a rather more sophisticated version of this game to help planners think about the cause-and-effect consequences of different types of actions and interventions in catchments and river basins.
